He had a mission, to become a career military soldier, he loved it that much. He had a purpose in this life, his main conversation with me was about the military. We spent a couple of occasions when he was on leave chatting on the porch, where his Aunt Melanie and I lived. He always talked about his mother Renee, his aunt Mel, his love for his family, he wanted to make them proud. He was killed saving his fellow soldier, in the field of battle. I was shocked as well as surprised, one moment talking to him, the next he is gone. I was not there for that knock on the door, when they came and announced his passing. I came after all that, to pay my condolences. There just simply is no words to express the sadness that took a toll on his family. It was a gloomy day, I can remember. I always felt, do to his love for his momma, she should have won that battle for burial rights. Without question he was devoted to his mother and family on both sides. His mother is an awesome woman who supported Jason all the way. I cannot say enough about her as well. She did good giving birth to Jason, what a good man he was. Jason thanks for the evenings of laughter on the porch, the military conversations, the mission we planed to go on. That is what he called events missions. The heartburn at the Ti restaurant, sharing your Aunt Mel with me and the rest of the family. I thank you for all that you did to make me laugh and feel good around you when you came to visit your Aunt. Your dedication blew me away, such a fine man you were, as well as a devoted soldier for the cause of freedom. I will never forget you, God bless his family, God bless you my friend. You are surely missed. Love John Fri, 27 Feb 2009 04:46:02 -0800
