It saddened me to find out that my friend had left us too soon but I know he touched many people's lives and he will always be remembered as a selfless brave man by all of us. Thank you my friend for your service and sacrifice you did to keep us all safe here at home. He was a hard worker who ever gave up hope even when everyone else thought there was none. I remember how motivated he was and the many of weekends we spent in the shop trying to stay afloat with the mounds of paperwork in front of us, while his daughter played on the floor. He was such a great man and will never be forgotten. We miss you my friend, I know you are looking down on all of us smiling next to God in heaven. Richardson on June 4, 2009 https://projects.latimes.com/wardead/name/alejandro-ayala/#c14991 https://projects.latimes.com/wardead/name/alejandro-ayala/#c14991 It was an honor and a privilege to spend 4-5 weeks with SSgt Ayala while attending Camp Shelby CST. His positive attitude and infectious personality made the time away from my family pleasant. Words can't describe the impact his death had on me. When he found out he got promoted to TSgt, I gave him a rank insignia. I knew he'd make an excellent Junior NCO, leader and mentor. My heart goes out to his family and friends. He will never be forgotten. God Bless...
