We shared some good times together at J-Town. Crazy how we made so many of the same decisions. From working at Knotts Berry Farm in the summer of '01, you as a ride operator and me in the kitchen of La Catina restaurant to us catching up at the PX in '02 at Fort Knox during AIT. I would've never thought that would've been the last time we cross paths. I still shed tears over the loss of such a great man! It's memorial day. Thank you for putting your life on the line for our country. I miss you and love you bro. You are not forgotten bro bro. From north LBC........ I finally shared what we talked about with my daughter. I wanted her to know how great a person and a best friend you were. You offered to take her in as your own when you didn't have to. You helped me through one of the toughest times of my life although you tried to warn me. You never judged me and you were always there for me. You would sing to me until I fell asleep. You would talk to me for hours and encourage me. I can't thank you enough and I wish I had more time to tell you how much I appreciate your friendship, love, and loyalty. I will never forget you. I love you Anson!! I wish you could see how big she is. Kiara is 14 and full of life. She's smart l, atlecthic, and guess what...she sings and rap!!! Remember when you you use to sing to my belly and make me put the phone to my stomach so she could hear you... I remember when you were working in the mall and I came to see you and you asked if you could take your break just so you could sing and see her kick...and believe me when I say she loves music!!! I miss you so much and wish you were here to catch up and talk about all the crazy stuff we did and talked about as teens... I know you would've been a great father... God, I miss you so much... so many things I want to tell you and cry just to hear you say "It's OK Kimmie you know why, cause you got me!!" Remember when you worked at Knotts berry farm and you made me ditch my prom date to hang out with you and watch the gospel singers...and you took over!!! Your voice was amazing... and I can't wait for the world to hear the song I wrote for you... it's taken me a minute to let it out but it's done and I wish you could hear it... I know I'm rambling on and on but I just wish I could talk to you... I really miss you...I love you so much... I listen to "Doing Just Fine" at least twice a day just to imagine you singing it to me on the phone while I cry my eyes out... I was such a cry baby huh lol... well I can't speak for anyone else but you were my best friend and an amazing singer. I will always think of you and our great times and bad times... wish you were here... I remember you called me all the way to your gravesite to let me know that you were going to be okay. You gave me a message to tell Kiel and the family that you were in good hands. I think of you and I smile. It was a pleasure to have you and the youth of church hang out at my place on Sundays. I loved you all and I knew you loved us too. You had a crush on Eneshia(LOL). I will never forget you sweetheart. I will be carrying the load for you this Sunday and Moday in Dallas for Memorial Day! I love you! You were amazing! Guess what?! You are still moving in our hearts and lives still! We will see you again! Gods Love! He was over protective and loved everyone he encountered. Anson was very talented. I truly loved him and can still remember the day I found out of his passing. He will never be forgotten and always missed! I love you Anson!!! We were the Class of 2001 at Long Beach Jordan High School. I remember seeing him in the hallways with his friends on my way to my AP and IB classes. He just exuded positivity! I once saw his poster on the high school walls for a production he was in and I thought to myself, "he is definitely going places and has a bright future ahead". Brave he was to the end. What I admired the most about him was that, he too answered the call of country to serve in the United States military. He put aside his future ambitions and aspirations to serve in the Armed Forces. If that is not a true hero, then I cannot fathom what is. Rest In Peace Lyndon. You are a soldier who has earned his wings. -Mrs. Virlen Bane, U.S. Army 2004, U.S. Navy Reserves and Active Duty 2005-2008 and Marine Wife to Sgt. Derrick Bane, USMC since 2011.
