I didn't know Joe, but I'm sure he was a nice young man. My heart goes out to you. I too, know how it feels to lose a loved one at the hands of another. In the Bible at Revelation 21:4 Almighty God gives us this promise, "He will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more neither will mourning, nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away". This is a wonderful hope for the future and I look forward to seeing it. May peace and hope be with you at this difficult time. As a friend it hurts to know I'll never see him again, but he truly is a hero and he won't be forgotten. I recall his mother's worry when Joel enlisted in the Army, but she knew that it was a decision made by her son who was now a grown man. In honored glory, Joel joins his grandfather, who was killed in the Vietnam War- as American heroes. Mon, 26 May 2008 02:11:03 -0700
