Martino that his ultimate sacrifice will never be forgotten. God Bless you Michael as you are our hero. She is a very dedicated volunteer at the same animal shelter I volunteer for (the Nelson County Humane Society/SPCA Almost Home Pet Adoption Center near Lovingston, VA) and, as our webmaster, she is a key factor in getting hundreds of our animals adopted each year. Michael would be very proud of her if he knew all of the good she does as she works hard to attempt to fill the large void he left in her heart when he was killed. Her love for Michael lives on in magnificent ways, as she makes a positive difference in so many lives. Everyone who enjoys sharing love with their dogs or cats KNOWS how important this kind of love is too. Sybil's broken heart will always miss her precious son Michael, but she spends most of her time these days creating new and loving connections between animals and people. She has lost so much and yet she gives...and she gives...and she gives. Like Michael, Sybil is doing what she loves to do and what she believes in. Like Michael, she is making a positive difference in this world. Clearly, the Martino's are a wonderful family! Take comfort in the hope of the resurrection at (John 5:28, 29).Our heavenly father Jehovah God has promised that all wars will cease to the extremity of the earth (Psalms 46:9) Tue, 25 Jun 2013 04:26:31 -0700 Brian Moore on September 24, 2011 https://projects.latimes.com/wardead/name/michael-d-martino/#c58912 https://projects.latimes.com/wardead/name/michael-d-martino/#c58912 I used to play with Mike when we where in Kindergarten on Kwajalein. We went to Woodbridge High at the same time, but didn't know each other. We both wound up being Marine Aviators though, and I ran into Mike on Okinawa in 2004. We had breakfast together at the O-Club and that was the last time I saw him alive. May God bless his soul. Life, like a mist, appears for just a day, Then disappears tomorrow. All that we are can quickly fade away, Replaced with tears and sorrow. If a man should die, can he live again? Hear the promise God has made: (Chorus) 2. Friends of our God, though they may pass away, Will never be forsaken. All those asleep who in God’s mem’ry stay, From death he will awaken. Then we’ll come to see all that life can be: Paradise eternally. (CHORUS) He will call; The dead will answer. They shall live at his command. For he will have a longing For the work of his own hand. So have faith, and do not wonder, For our God can make us stand. And we shall live forever, As the work of his own hand. (See also John 6:40; 11:11, 43; Jas. 4:14.) He was so young. He was just starting his life. In the Bible at Psalms 46:9 it say: "He is making wars to cease to the extremity of the earth." So, here it shows soon there will be peace all over the earth. I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses and we are always in your area. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have about this scripture or any other scriptures in the Bible and we will be happy to answere them for you. May peace and comfort be with you. Unfortunately Michael never knew about the promotion. He would have been so pleased. God Bless all our troops. They are my heroes. Michael's Mom.
