There isn't a day I don't think about you. I miss you, there is no one in this world that would ever replace you. I always wonder how life would be if you were here. I got married this year and there's no one I would have wish to be my best man cause that's who you had been and no one else. I know you and I joined the marines as a buddy program so motivated and got put in the same unit. Everyday I feel as I let you down and it kills me. I never got to tell you but my whole life turned upside down when I received the message when we where in the shooting range that my mother had passed away. You will always be in my heart, your gone but not forgotten. Until we meet again my boy. Miss you everyday. He is in Iraq and his Mom really wants to talk to him. He hasn't called or written in months." I told him that in the American military nothing is more powerful than Mom. I called down to Pendleton and spoke with the Sergeant Major and told him the story. My friend said. "What will happen now?" I told him, "He will call his Mom before the end of the day, trust me." About an hour later he came back and said "Hey he called his Mom about 30 minutes after you called." I laughed and told him, "Tell his Mom not to be afraid of those big old Marines, when it comes to Mom, they will do anything for her." A few months later he came by and told me Carlos had been killed. Despite never meeting him or his family, I knew they had lost a beloved son and brother and they would forever mourn his loss. Now whenever I am somewhere and there is a memorial to OIF casualties, I am drawn to his name. Rest in Peace, Carlos . For your sacrifice, words do little to describe our sincere gratitude. However, There is a hope for a future where such wonderful people will not have to die in the wars of the world. ISAIAH 2:4 And he will certainly render judgment among the nations and set matters straight respecting many nations and set matters straight respecting many peoples. And they will have to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war anymore....REV 21:3,4-"death will be no more" Wed, 11 Apr 2012 09:45:01 -0700 jennifer on February 7, 2012 https://projects.latimes.com/wardead/name/carlos-arellano-pandura/#c68839 https://projects.latimes.com/wardead/name/carlos-arellano-pandura/#c68839 carlos i will always love you and i will always have a part of you with me i love you your my hero and your kaylas hero too we love LOVE YOU Tue, 07 Feb 2012 01:05:22 -0800 Amber B on May 27, 2011 https://projects.latimes.com/wardead/name/carlos-arellano-pandura/#c52285 https://projects.latimes.com/wardead/name/carlos-arellano-pandura/#c52285 He was super dooper cute!!
