We didnt know what to make of everything there yet so we struck out on the German Economy finding out all we could and looking for any bars/beautiful women we could find. After that, it was about a year and some months bf i saw him again.. I ran into him during training in Germany when our units were combined to deploy to Afghanistan. After this we were able to spend some one on one time in BIAF for a week or so. during this time we caught up on the few years it had been and he told me about back home and his soon to be wife. We boarded a helicopter that week and parted ways to two different parts of the country with seperate platoons. it was Nov of that same year i learned of his death. Its something that hit me harder than most i saw infront of me. Jeffery was a great soldier and more than that, he was a better friend. he would always ask how i was and what was new before he would tell me about his experiences in the short time we were apart. To his family, you should be very proud of your son. he was one of the better soldiers i ever had the pleasure to spend time around. I miss your son very much. I wish very much that I would have met you in person. My name is Joshua Anthony Kelly. I live in South Carolina now in a small town called Hartsville. I know you are across the entire country but if i ever have a chance to meet you i will tell you what i know of Jeff. The kind of man he was over that was one to be looked up to. I am very sorry. I loved him very much and will miss my Jeffy.. Mon, 15 Mar 2010 10:09:16 -0700
