My husband Sgt. Esparza deployments have been the hardest thing I have ever been through. I am very blessed to be able to spend the rest of my life with him but I also think everyday of how my life would of changed if he never came back. My thoughts and prayes go out to your family. May god bless all the military personel and their families. You should be very proud of your son, he did what he was trained for and he was a real soldier. As this project is about to wrap up after a rigorous 2 years, I recently learned of Lcpl Hogan and that this project will be named in his honor. I am very proud & honored to be part of this project that is commemorating a soldier of such valor, who saved multiple lives at the cost of his own. Lcpl Hogan will not be forgotten as these buildings will be the home to the 1/5 Marines for the decades to come. Donald Hogan sacrifice for all of us. My son is a marine and everyday I think of the decision he made to protect this country. It is stil very hard to give up my son to defend freedom but I will always be greatful for the likes of Lnc. Cpl. Donald Hogan. I heard that your son has been nominated for the Navy cross. A cross symbolizes the death of Jesus so than we can have freedom.
