Sad he's gone. I had some classes with him in High School and found this article while looking to see if he had a Facebook. I will miss him and regret not staying in contact. Our mortality is so fragile when we really put things in perspective. Thank you for all the brave men and women. Jacob was one of a kind. All of these comments accurately reflect his personality. Our family truly misses him and it is nice to hear he formed another family in the military. Rest In Peace cousin. He was riding around on his skateboard acting silly as usual. He was always full of life and loved to make people smile. He had a contagious laugh. I feel unfortunate that I didn't get a chance to know him better. He was a good man, friend and marine. My heart goes out to his family. Everyone that was fortunate enough to know him will miss him dearly. R.I.P Jacob...you will never be forgotten. Toves for helping to ensure a safer and stronger America. As a combat engineer of Desert Storm and Somalia, I know how it is to loose a fellow engineer, I pray that you have found peace at the end of your short 27yr journey. As i was looking into the whole list of departed service men and women, what struck me was that majority of them happen to be at a younger age when they join service and so they die when still young. This shows that the young and energyetic leave early and this is very hurting to us who read and listen to news because these are a nation of tommorrow. However, age does not matter much for a person who loves his country. May God rest all your souls in eternal peace. As stated above from my Nephew LCPL Kyle and Jacob's Marine Brothers, his concern and care for all others did make a difference in many peoples lives. A True Patriot, Proud Warrior and Dear Friend. Today and forever we live as free men in Jacob's honor! Fri, 22 Aug 2008 01:43:13 -0700
