When we lose a loved one in death, the pain, the grief, and the feelings of helplessness can see unbearable. Thus, in situations and circumstances like these, some have pondered. Will War and suffering Ever End? War continues to claim untold numbers of human lives. All of us have been touched by human suffering. God's Word the Holy Bible foretells a time when he will established peace earth wide. Under his Kingdom, a heavenly government, people will not "learn war anymore." Instead, they will "beat their swords into plowshares." (Isaiah 2:4) God will bring an end to all injustice and suffering. The Bible promises: "[God] will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things [ including today's injustices and suffering] have passed away." - Revelation 21:3,4. The Scriptures also tells of good news about the dead. In an account recorded at John 11:21-24, 38-44; It says: When Jesus arrived at Bethany near Jerusalem, his friend Lazarus had been dead for four days. Jesus went to the burial place with Martha and Mary, sisters of the deceased man. Soon, a crowd gathered. Can you imagine the joy of Martha and Mary when Jesus raised Lazarus back to life? The account involving Lazarus shows that the resurrection is the sure remedy for death. Under the rule of his Kingdom, the heavenly King Jesus Christ will resurrect untold numbers of people to life here on earth- but under peaceful and righteous and healthy conditions.(Acts 24:15; 2 Peter 3: 13; Psalm 37:29. Jesus promised that "those in the memorial tombs will ... come out." (John 5:28,29) In harmony with God's original purpose, those resurrected as humans will have the opportunity to lived on a paradise earth(Luke 23:43). Imagine the great ecstasy when the dead come back to life and are reunited with their loved ones! Mon, 26 Nov 2012 06:59:03 -0800
