I specifically remember one time we were eating an Almond joy(the candy) and Manuel remarked if he made a candy bar he would call it Manuel joy ...Also we had fun prank calling people ( mostly family) as his favorite impersonation (Tony Montana) Scarface. Of all my loved ones who have passed I cried the most tears over Manuel , perhaps that was a testament to the depth of my love for him. Due to my circumstances it was unreal to me that he passed because I couldn't be there for the funeral or anything. It's just now hitting me that he really is gone because I see his brothers, father , sister, cousins and he's really not there and it hurts but I try to remember the good times because there were so many. Even As I write this , tears I cannot avoid . However, I know it's going to be alright , I'm going to be alright. I just miss him a lot is all.. I fondly remember the endless trips we would have as days would bleed over into endless nights of conversations, arguments, confessions, and overall laughter. Even though there is still a hole in my life that can never be replaced, I can't help but look back at the short amount of time I spent with him and smile at all the great things we did together, even if that meant not doing anything at all most of the time. A mountain in life, he lifted many more peoples spirits than he will ever have the chance to know. I didn't know him, but I'm sure he was a fine young man. The Bible speaks of one day when there will be no more wars. In fact it says at Psalms 46:9 "He is making wars to cease to the extremity of the earth." You will have a chance to see your loved one again. Jesus is the hope and resurrection of life. It says so at John 5:28,29 for he says: "Do not marvel at this for the hour has come in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life and those who practice vile things to a resurrection of judgement." This gives us a wonderful hope for the future. May you have peace and comfort.
