He will never be forgotten. He was an energetic enthusiastic person and I had the honor of serving with him in Afghanistan in 2010. He could light up a room with his smile and personality. He was a dedicated soldier and represented integrity and honor. Mrs. Murphy, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Your son positively impacted many people. We grew up together, I moved away and have only recent been told of this and I am devastated! I write this in tears to think of my little friend that would make laugh, annoy me, make me mad then make me laugh again as dead, gone, killed, not here. I am so sorry, this is a true tragedy and I'm heartbroken... Well, my worst nightmare came true the day I got the call. You are on my mind constantly and as tough as life is to deal with right now, I know the only thing you would want any of us to do is just smile when we hear your name. Every day is a struggle, but I find strength knowing that we will one day embrace and be together as a family again. Keep Grandpa company and know that you will NEVER be forgotten. I thanks Raymond and his family for his service to our country, I'm so sorry for the loss. He's a hero in my book! I keep thinking about you, and going to all of these welcome home ceremonies for all of the 173rd is SOOOO hard. I couldnt make it through the last one because a picture of you poped up on the slide show they had and i broke down crying. I remember talking to you the day before you went out that day and you were counting down the days until you would be back here in Germany and I clearly remember telling you "Im here with opened arms waiting for you". Well I guess your the one waiting for me now... i will see you again one day, and what an amazing day that will be! I miss you like crazy and I cant tell you enough how thankful i am to have known such a great person like yourself. RIP Lil Ray Ray. Death is not easy to take. Especially when someone dies at the hands of another or disasters. Almighty God did not mean for people to die, when He created this earth. The Bible does however, talk about a hope for our loved ones. You can read it in the book of John 5:28,29. May the God of peace and comfort be with you. Mon, 04 Oct 2010 04:10:03 -0700 G.
