Beverly Bayne's haunting, youthful beauty brought her the role of Juliet in the first American film version of "Romeo and Juliet."
Bayne, once wed to Francis X. Bushman, started her career making films at $25 per week. By the time she wed Bushman in 1918 she was a commanding star who billed $350 per week. She made about 400 one- and two-reel films during her Hollywood career.
