Bill Boyd

Country Musician | Singer Born Sept. 29, 1910 in Fannin County, Texas

Bill Boyd was a popular radio country singer of the 1930s and 1940s who later went on to a career as a disc jockey. He had a popular live radio program with his group, Bill Boyd and the Cowboy Ramblers, and played frequent shows in his native Texas. They put out hundreds of recordings, including hits such as "New Steel Guitar Rag" and "Under the Double Eagle."

In addition to his radio career, Boyd and his music appeared in several pre-World War II western movies.
