Traded to the Lakers from Golden State in 1990, Teagle was the team’s top scorer off the bench during the 1990-91 regular season and was a key reserve as the Lakers made their playoff run to the NBA Finals, where they lost to the Chicago Bulls.

Teagle averaged 10.7 points a game the following season and 17.5 in the Lakers' first-round playoff loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.
