Chatsworth Metrolink Crash Comments > Page 117

Keep in mind
- The Times initially mispelled the name of Michael Hammersley and Beverly Mosley.
- The coroner's office reported a 26th victim the afternoon of Sept. 15, but a few hours later said the tally was 25.
Whether you are an airline pilot, bus driver, cab driver, Metrolink engineer. You have an affirmative responsibility to give your full time and attention to your job with over 200 lives in your hands. I'm sorry folks, I understand all of the nice sentiment in these memorials, but 25 people lost their lives because Robert Sanchez was text messaging a 14 year old kid who liked trains and in doing so blew a red light. That is outrageous. So much loss, death and sorrow because of one man. I am angry that I lost my brother because of this man and his lack of attention. Metrolink will be sued for all of their money for not hiring better engineers!!!
Mr. Grace was the best counslers at are school even though i didnt know him well it was still heart wrenching news when i found out that he had pastaway. When i walk threw the hall way of ny school every single teacher was crying that almost made me break down and cry.
R.I.P Mr. Grace
I was a client of the plant where Roger worked. I had talked with him many times when I was there and always enjoyed his sense of humor and quick smile.
What a wonderful set of comments on this page.
My prayers for the family.
To the readers of the LA Times: You are all a class act. To have nothing to say but positive messages is what is needed during a traumatic event such as this. As one the postings stated, to Err is human but to forgive is divine.
he wasmy counselor,a great lovingman i misshim soooooooooooo much
My son Grant is in Jenny Fuller's 5th grade class this year at Hollow Hills. I have known Jenny for the past four years when she took a liking to my little girl dubbed "The Coco Puff Girl" by Jenny. I only met Walter once, in the emergency room of all places...back in the summer of 2007. He was quite funny and very loving toward Jenny who had sliced her finger/hand preparing food! He poked fun at her to us to make the situation easier for her and he was very nice to my son Grant who was hurt in a baseball game. My heart aches for you, Jenny, and your children. I hope that you find the strength through your love of Christ and know that Walt is in a place where he can watch over you and your children just like he did that night in the E.R.. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
The entire Bunker Family...Shari , Tyler, Grant, Cole and Kennedy :)

I knew Mr. Macias well. He was a pleasant and smart individual. My prayers go out to his family. He was a Veteran and served his country well.
Sitting at home the way I do, I'd just love the hear from people. All of the sudden i hear mr. grace has passed away. i lough and say "are you kidding me?" the person writes back saying "no i am seriouse." That is when i realized that this unbelieveable tragdy has actually took place. The first thing that came to mind was how he would talk to me and help me go through tough times. He knew how to treat people. he was one that always had a smile on his face even if he was having a hard time with something. I would TA the office 2 years ago, and i would sit by him looking at the way he would explain things to studdents. It would always brighten up my day knowing that there are actually some poeple who take there time to make others better people in this world. He was the best counslor i had and will ever have. All i could say is Rest In Peace!
