Chatsworth Metrolink Crash Comments > Page 119

Keep in mind
- The Times initially mispelled the name of Michael Hammersley and Beverly Mosley.
- The coroner's office reported a 26th victim the afternoon of Sept. 15, but a few hours later said the tally was 25.
Although I don't remember the last time I actually saw Doyle, I was very sorry to hear of his passing. Even though he was over 3 years younger than me, we became good friends at Lone Star school and I know that he had asked my family about me after I left the Yuma area in 1966. After reading all of the awesome comments I am truly honored to have known him and I wish the best for his family.
My dad called me about 3 hours after the crash and told me that Bunky was on a train that crashed but that Maria had not heard from him yet. My worst fear was confirmed when dad called me and said Bunky was gone.
I have fond memories of Bunky since I was a little kid and he was part of my family it seemed like. Having the Trio rehearsing in our living room for many years with Bunky playing his very cool Guitarone Mexican Bass will always be an impression in my mind.
I remember when I was in High School and our family was stuck at Universal Studios with a burned out starter, it was Bunky who came to our rescue with a new starter that I installed in the parking lot.
I once stowed away in the back of my dad's Volkwagen bug so I could go to bunky's and play with Scott.
I'm helping dad make arrangements so he can make the service on Friday.
That Metro train needed Captain Dew from the ship Santiana I can still hear Bunky sing.
My thoughts and prayers will remain with you Maria, Jeannette and Scott. I know he is happy looking down on the beautiful family that he and Maria created.
Job well done Bunky! Heave away!

I did not know Buck very well, but my husband did. Buck coached his T-ball team when him and Diane were young. Diane would always speak of how giving and generous her father was. He took wonderfull care of his family. He will be missed. To the family, We love you all and are here for you. With much love, The Henley Family
Oh Lori, I am so sorry to hear about Ronnie. I was stunned when Dierdre told me. I remember you and him surfing when I came down to San Diego a few years ago. You both were having such fun and laughing so much. He still treated you like the little sister he adored. I'll call you soon.
Chris was one of the friendliest people I met when I first moved here, three years ago. In a short time, he became one of my favorite people on the volleyball court, and was always smiling. Chris was the model of living a compassionate life, and we lost one of the good ones with his passing.
Chris may be missed, but his legacy and memory will live on.
i grew up with atul and his family two houses down from mine. we had the best childhood together, playing in their garage and running around on the street playing basketball and football. he was always so happy and had that smile on his face... ill never forget that smile. he was truely brillant. my heart goes out to his family, they are all great people just like him. i still can't believe it.
My thoughts and prayers to all of the family.
Michelle and Andrew, remember his gifts of joy, laughter, strength, and courage. God bless you.
My heart goes to the family, friends and others who knew Mr. Sanchez. Remember that everyone lived a GREAT life before there death. Please lets all hold each other instead of pointing fingers, I myself lost a brother in arms on 9/11, he was not supposed to go but again he is with these people all in heaven waiting for all us one day to smile all together.
Mr. Sanchez, look down to your family and tell them you are ok in heaven, no apology needed, just know that you and others will always be remembered and never forgotten.
My heart and prayers are with all the families.

A Person
Nearly eight years have passed since I was a student at Roosevelt Middle School and yet he is one counselor, mentor, and friend that I will never forget. He was a factor in the advancement of so many student's educational careers that it seems surreal to lose him so tragically. Years ago, and judging from the posts above, he is the same person, unfazed by the harsh realities of the world and always with a smile. Did he still stand by the doors where the math and science corridors connect? It seems I will always remember him walking down the halls; always happy, always laughing, and the one person that could brighten your spirits on a sad day. He was an incredible person. His personality was so engaging that even as a 7th grader, though shy, I was enthralled to be around him to see what he had to say. I know that he will ALWAYS be remembered at Glendale Unified School District. My deepest condolences to his family and friends..there's a group of us at UCLA that will never forget you.
Spree was a wonderful person always with a smile on her face. thanx for all ur help u will be miss
