Chatsworth Metrolink Crash Comments > Page 88

Keep in mind
- The Times initially mispelled the name of Michael Hammersley and Beverly Mosley.
- The coroner's office reported a 26th victim the afternoon of Sept. 15, but a few hours later said the tally was 25.
Liz, Matt, Chris and family:
My sympathy and prayers are with you all. Although we never knew each other well, my memories of Roger are of a smiling, happy, nice man. Reading all of these comments from those who knew him well reinforce those memories. I'm very sad to hear of your loss.
I am living in Idaho with my wife and 3 kids and when I heard about this accident I followed the story to make sure I did not know anyone who was on the train. Sadly we did.
I hope that you are able to remember all these wonderful times you had with a very special Husband and Father to carry you through this tough time.
God Bless.
It is very hard for someone who lost their loved one to forgive you. Your huge mistake brought huge broken heart, suffering, sadness to the family who lost their loved one.You knew there are 200 people's lives on your hand. You should focus on your driving. You should not run the red light and texting message. Sorry, I have to blame on you. We lost some loved person. You can void this tragedy.I think the state government needs to enfore a law to ban cell phone, texting message during their driving on bus, train, airplane.Metrolink should hired more experiences engineer and check their driving background before hiring. God bless to all 25 victims. I hope they find their happiness and fearless in the heaven. Rest in peace.
That best portion of a good man's life,
His little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and of love. --"W. Wordsworth"

Mike delivered our inter-office mail. He was always so happy. His smiling face brought joy to my world on a daily basis. I thank him so much for that. Bless him & his Family.
My thoughts and prayers goes to the Hammersley family; brothers Timothy, Thomas, Robert (serving in Kuwait) and sister @ Stanford. As most writers, I did not know Michael personally, however he was ALWAYS a very, very, nice friendly and pleasant person as he delivered mail to our office. I can actually speak for all the girls in our office when I say Michael Hammersley will truly be missed. Michael - may your soul find peace beyond the river.
Andrea - I am deeply sorry for your loss. He will always be remembered for the loving, caring, supportive man he was to all that knew him. He will always remain within the hearts of those that knew him. May God give you strength.
I knew Donna Nieves as a Banning Pilot from 1974 to 1976. We shared the softball diamond at Banning High School in Wilmington. She was our team catcher, and had a great arm. She was a solid player that didn't talk the talk, but walked the walk. Of course discovering that Donna Remata was the same person I knew as "Donna Nieves", is a shock. From the previous descriptions of her, she had remained the same warm-spirited, enthusiastic, loving, and stable person she was way back when I knew her.
To her family, I can't imagine the grief you have, but I want you to know she will always be rembered by her teammates and friends from Banning High, Class of '76.
God bless the Remata and Nieves families.
