Eric S. Trueblood, 27
Trueblood died March 10 in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. At his graduation from Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, his entire family was stunned to learn that he was first in his class. The once aimless young man found a calling in the military.
