Mark C. Wells, 31
Wells died March 5 in Helmand province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. Wells and his wife, Danielle, had a son, Finnegan, and were expecting a second child, a daughter, when Wells was killed. He had been hoping to return home for the baby's birth. Caitlynn was born in late April.
