Molina was born in Mexico and came to Los Angeles when he was 5. He met his wife while guarding an office building in Santa Monica, where she worked as part of the night cleaning crew. A 10-year veteran, he joined the Marines to support his family.

I am so proud of my brother SSgt Jorge Molina Bautista. Jorge joined the USMC because since he was very young that was his dream. He was dedicated to his job and family. Jorge touched so many hearts. He was a person that was easy to talk to; he was smart, funny a great husband, father, brother and son. But most of all, he was very proud to be a MARINE. It has been 9 years that my brother was (KIA). I still miss him a lot! I wanted to thank you all for posting comments and stories about my brother Ssgt Jorge Molina. I check once in a while and it makes me feel happy to see that he hasn't been forgotten. If you knew my brother please post your story with him. I would like to read about it. Thank you again!

Serving in Iraq with Jorge was one of the best experiences of my life. Mole', as I called him had a unique gift for making people feel comfortable in situations where many would be scared or confused. A calming sense is how I would describe it. We would usually talk about the boys but working together we had a unique focus. May 23, 2004 just so happened to be my birthday and we were planning on breaking open one of his stashed MRE's (Cheese Tortilini) that he said I could have. That day rarely slips my mind as I was split into another assignment and was due back later that night. After hearing the news, all hopes of catching up with my brotha from anotha motha were soon for not. Going straight to Afganistan after that deployment, I never had a chance to speak or write to his family. For those who knew Jorge and for his family, please know that his life will never be forgotten and that his memory will always be with me. Again, to all of the Marines he served with, Semper Fidelis. Jorge (Mole') I miss you brother......

Here is another story about my brother SSgt Molina Bautista.

I am the second oldest, I was 11; Mike our brother was 10; and Jorge was 9 years old at that time. Our mom needed to work so I would watch over my little brothers. Anyway, I was going to cook dinner and I needed rice & tomatoes from the store. Jorge & Mike were playing outside and I called Jorge and asked him to go to the store to get the stuff I needed so he went on to the store (so I thought) . He came back later and said, here are the things you asked for. I said, where are the tomatoes? Jorge: "Oh No! Mike forgot the tomatoes!" Me: "JORGE YOU SHOULD BE THE ONE GOING TO THE STORE NOT MIKE! I asked you!" And that's when he got caught! We found out he would ask Mike instead of going himself to the store, then Jorge would bring the stuff to me, making me think he was the one who went to the store. Jorge was very smart and he would find ways to get away from doing his chores. I miss him so much!

Soy su tía y él inició una de las fases más dolorosas de mi vida: la despedida de varios de mis seres queridos. Estos dos últimos les servían de escudos a él y a su hermano Miguel, cuando niños de la escuela los molestaban porque aún no hablaban bien. Sus tíos los grandotes los protegían de los niños de su edad que les hacían "bullying"... y ahora esos dos tíos, mis hermanitos queridos, se han ido ha hacerle compañía a Jorge. During these dates of May 23rd through Memorial Day, all these memories come to mind, the night that my sister in law called me crying that a group of Marines were at her house. We just knew! What we didn't want to know or hear. He had been KIA! I miss my brother so much! But the stories & comments I read on this post makes me feel a little bit better knowing that he hasn't been forgotten. Thank you for keeping his memories alive! Love you my dear brother, SSgt Jorge A Molina Bautista❤️😘

May is a very sad month remembering the day we all received the bad news about my brother Jorge, I am the oldest of all my siblings, I like to remember the day I met my brother Jorge for the first time, I was almost five years old when our mother arrived home from the hospital with a new born baby in her arms, Jorge was the 4th sibling, I jumped up on the bed to be high enough to see him,
my mother got close to me and I could see his head, at first he looked bold to me, but when I touched him, he had hair, but it was so blond I couldn't see it. He was so cute! When he got older we were like partners in crime, we were the ones to get always in trouble with our mother.

He was a wise man, he had a good hart, there was something very special about his personality, he was very likable kind of guy.

I feel so honored to be his sister and I am so proud of him, at 13 years of his passing my pain still there and it will never go away.

I thank all of his friends and all of the ones who knew him and remember him, for posting stories about Jorge and expressing words of love for him, it makes me happy to know he will not be forgotten. I love you always and forever little brother and I am missing you very much.
