Anzack was killed less than a month after a false report of his death made its way to South High students in Torrance. Dispelling the rumors, Anzack posted on his MySpace page: "im not dead. im still kickin."

I got to know Joe for such a short time.Although I had Known his mother Theresa for several years and consider her my dearest friend.We walked through this with Theresa leading the way.She is an Oak.I was with her the day Joe was going down to the recruiter. Joe sr. was coming by to pick her up he felt she should go and support Josephes decision to join the Army although she wasn't in favor of it. But she went and eventually was swayed and Proud as any mother would be to have a son like Joseph. I later moved into the same Apt building that Joe sr.shared with Joe,and younger sister Casey. I was able to spend some time with Joseph. And heard all about him from my own Daughters they all thought he was? how did they say it?pretty hot. Joseph was a clown,a shoulder to lean on and a hand to help you up. He wore many hats in a very short life. He seemed to brighten up the room he was so full of positive energy. Joe God bless you and your family I really could write so much more. They may not even post this. I love you Joseph. And I love your mother.Your the topic every time I see her. Rest now your fight is done. And now your with our lord Jesuse Christ. How awesome is that?

I had the blessing of knowing Joe or as I called him "my cup of joe" lol. For those who missed the opportunity of knowing such an amazing young man he was of "the class clown" of course! he had that "Macho Man" personality but at times his spirit would be so sweet, and gentle, I tried to talk joe outta joining tha Army, but his mind was made up, I told him to just go to el camino college with everybody else, he wanted to help people, he wanted to be a real life "Captain America"....he wasnt afraid of anything....I truly miss my friend, I love him, and I am grateful for his bravery, his determination, and his Integrity! I pray all the time for his mother, father, and his sister...may God bless you Anzack family.

I was brought to tears at the lost of such a young person. My son is 20 and I cannot imagine him taken away from me. This is the 6th anniversary of private Joseph Anzack's passing. I can say with certainty that to his family, it seems as yesterday. Please take comfort in the promise that our heavenly father Jehovah God made of a resurrection. (John 5:28, 28)"...all those in the memorial tomb will near his voice and come out...". You can be assured that this will take place.When Jesus was on the earth he raised the dead, and will do so again in the very near future. How wonderful it will be to see and hold your son Theresa! There will be peace on the earth. Psalms 46:9...Jehovah says all wars will cease to the extremity of the earth. I look forward to meeting you and son.
